You are invited to our Wonderful Wednesday Community Dinner on January 27, at 6:30 p.m.  This month, the Homebuilders class is providing the meal.

The Wonderful Wednesday Community Dinners are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month.  These meals are held in the basement fellowship hall.   Mark your calendar for these meals, and be sure to invite your friends, neighbors, and family.  There is always plenty of good food and fellowship, and we conclude our meals with a few songs and a devotional thought.

Our annual soup supper is coming soon, Saturday, Jan. 16 at 6 p.m.  Invite your friends, and you might even want to bring along a container or jar to take leftovers home in.

• Dec. 21: Caroling.  Meet @ the church at 7:00 p.m.  Bring a snack to share and head over to the Barron’s for fun and fellowship afterward.

• Dec. 23: Wednesday evening Bible Study/Prayer Meeting, 7:00 p.m.  The W.H.Y. (West Hills Youth group) will also be having a Christmas party at Jamie and Alex’s house at the same time.

• Dec. 24: Christmas Eve Communion Candlelight Service, 7:00 p.m.

• Dec. 27: The Venture Kidz will be going to Speedway in Lights.  Talk to Amy, or e-mail her for more info.

The Youth Group will be going to see the Speedway in Lights Sunday night, Dec. 13, after the evening service.  They will return by 9:30pm.

• Parents:  All children participating in our Christmas program need to be here Wednesday night at 6:45pm for our final, on stage, dress rehearsal.  Thank you!

• Venture Kidz will be going to Speedway in Lights on Sunday, December 27^th.

• We will collect Christmas cards December 6–20. Please put them in alphabetical order, put a rubber band around your cards and drop them in the mail box in the vestibule. They will be distributed into your mail slot.  If you do not have a mail slot yet, let Joe or Linda Shipley know.  Please make sure the people you send cards to are still in attendance, since we cannot send cards outside of the church.  You will have to mail those cards yourself.

• December 12 – Willing Workers Christmas Dinner at 5:00 p.m. at West Hills Christian Church.   All elders, deacons, staff, worship team, Sunday School teachers and their families are invited.  We would love to feed you.  Devotion in song by John Owens and his Bluegrass band.

• Crossroads Christian Church has invited our church to share with them in an afternoon of joy and inspiration, celebrating the birth of our Savior!  The adult choir will present “Only Love” on Sunday, December 13^th at 5:00 p.m.  We would love for you to join us.

Our annual “Hanging of the Greens” service will be held on Sunday, November 29^th at 6:00pm.  Anyone interested in purchasing a poinsettia “in honor” or “in memory” of a loved one, please see Janet Cross.

The “Hanging of the Greens” is a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season, combining Scripture readings, hymns, and carols with the decoration of the sanctuary as we begin our celebration the birth of Christ.
